Nestled quietly inside a bustling Baltimore food court, Mekong Delta Café offers an authentic slice of Vietnam that surprises and delights with every bite. This Vietnamese restaurant masterfully combines traditional flavors with generous portions, making it a cherished hidden gem for locals and visitors alike. From fragrant pho broths to vibrant, fresh spring rolls, every dish here invites a hearty exploration of Vietnam’s rich culinary landscape.
At Mekong Delta Café, the spotlight shines brightly on their noodle soup entrees, featuring classics such as the Pho W/Chicken and the deeply satisfying Pho W/Rare Beef (Pho Tai). The pho broth is a revelation—rich, aromatic, and simmered to perfection—infused with fresh herbs like cilantro, onions, and scallions that awaken the senses. Every spoonful balances the delicate tenderness of the meats with the subtle complexity of the broth, making it a soul-warming choice.
Vegetarian diners will find exceptional offerings here as well, with dishes like the Mekong Delta Vegetarian Noodles Soup and Yellow Curry with Tofu that feature robust, satisfying flavors without compromising freshness and texture. The grilled tofu rolls, paired with a creamy, nutty peanut sauce, add a deliciously light yet savory touch to the meal.
For those craving variety, the menu extends beyond pho to favorites like Beef Spring Rolls, the fragrant and warmly spiced Curry Chicken, and the tantalizingly fresh Bun Thit Nuong with lemongrass-marinated grilled beef served atop vermicelli with peanuts and crunchy bean sprouts. Seafood enthusiasts will appreciate the Sea Food Pho, a bountiful bowl teeming with ocean flavors.
Accompanying the savory dishes is Mekong Delta Café’s Vietnamese iced coffee—cool, robust, and perfect for cutting through the warmth of the spices and herbs. Many regulars praise this beverage as a highlight in its own right.
The dining atmosphere, though modest and somewhat tucked away within an otherwise unassuming food court, adds to Mekong Delta Café’s charm. It is a place where the focus steadfastly remains on the food. The friendly staff enhance the experience with attentive service, often guiding newcomers to the best choices and ensuring each plate arrives cooked to perfection.
Customer reviews consistently celebrate the café’s authenticity and value. One visitor raves about the “phenomenal Vietnamese food” and the “deeply rich and aromatic pho broth,” while another calls the spring rolls “fresh and massive,” highlighting the generous portions. Longtime patrons praise the family’s dedication to quality over nearly two decades, emphasizing dishes like the Bun Bo Hue and abundant vegetarian options. While the location may be a bit hidden and somewhat unconventional, the consensus is clear: the food here is unequivocally outstanding and worth seeking out.
For anyone craving a genuine Vietnamese culinary journey in Baltimore, Mekong Delta Café is a must-visit destination. Each bowl and roll bursts with layered flavors that bring the Mekong Delta region’s heritage directly to your plate—simple, sincere, and utterly satisfying.

Makong Delta Café food is really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest Mekong Delta Café The Shrimp & Garlic Fried Rice W/Lettuce And Slices Of Tomatoes very delicious Hands down.... also the Pho W/Rare Beef/Pho Tai very good too. The Spring Roll are fresh. All dishes we been eating at Makong Delta Café was absolutely amazing! Perfectly balanced flavors and cooked to perfection," "Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor Some of the most delicious food I've eaten! and "I'm still dreaming about my meal... each bite was a delight". Mr Leo very friendly and outstanding person. My family and I can't wait to go there again. Definitely the best Vietnamese food in town. Eric
this was some of the best vietnamese food i’ve had! a total hidden gem. i got the shrimp vermicelli and the shrimp rolls. it was delicious and you get a large portion for what you pay. definitely try it out! i wish it wasn’t in this dingy little food court, but the food is great so it doesn’t matter!
Phenomenal Vietnamese food. The pho broth was deeply rich and aromatic and the hu Tie was excellent. Shrimp rolls were massive and delicious and they have a killer Vietnamese iced coffee. All for a great price. It's a little hard to find being in the back of a largely inactive food court but they're worth the trip. The staff is super friendly as well and will help answer any questions and make sure you have a great meal.
I’ve been eating food made by Leo and his family for the past 17 years and have always thought that it is some of the best Vietnamese food in the region. Today’s a visit didn’t disappoint at all. Their Bun Bo Hue can compete with anyone’s. Awesome vegetarian options. Abundant tofu but also other ingredients in all of the dishes. The small storefront in an downtown food court is somewhat inconspicuous and doesn’t suggest how good this food is. Worth a trip here to try their food.
Found this really random place inside a place simply called "FOOD COURT" and the restaurant itself is called Mekong Delta Cafe. This place is like, really hidden for some reason. You can't even find "FOOD COURT" here on Google Maps. I found this place wandering around while on break during jury duty. Anyway, Mekong Delta Cafe is one of the restaurants in "FOOD COURT". Very nice prices for very good portions. I got a Cari Ga, Coconut Chicken Curry. It was very good. I wasn't really expecting semi raw vegetables but maybe that's just how it's served and I don't mind. The curry was kind of soupy too. Again, maybe that's just how it's prepared. I also got a Thai coffee(?). Despite what I just said, it was all very good. All of what I got was about $17 I think? It was very filling. I would definitely come back and try some noodle dishes next time. I would recommend this place.
Great portions of soup, noodles and lots of meat. Definitely worth a try! The broth is slightly sweet for Pho, a bit different, but still delish. The spring rolls can be a meal by itself. Apparently they do catering too, but definitely ask about the availability
